So sorry you can't be with your famiy, Barbara, but being mindful of the most vulnerable in our lives is so important. Thank you for your vigilance and caring. -- Nerdy Girl Gretchen
Multiple celebrations with family, one with my partner’s family in California yesterday, tomorrow with my son and our extended family in Massachusetts, and then New York with close friends over the weekend. That my son will be graduating college in May, attended by all of his various parents who keep coming together to support him. Grateful for our health and safety amidst a chaotic world. 💕
Kathie, what a heartening example of how wonderful extended and blended families can be. Kudos to you and yours for coming together. And congrats on the almost-grad! -- Nerdy Girl Gretchen
Celebrating at home and so grateful for our beautiful granddaughter, as we think of those grandparents elsewhere in the world who are not fortunate to have their grandchildren with them.
What a wonderful sentiment, Beth. When enjoying our own blessings, it's always so important to remember those who are not as blessed as we. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. -- Nerdy Girl Gretchen
We are celebrating with the residents of a nearby drug treatment program in San Jose, Costa Rica. Just living here is enough gratitude for anyone! I will probably be the only epidemiologist there :-)
John, I love seeing this post. My husband and I have been traveling to Costa Rica for vacations once or twice a years since 2000. It is our happy place, and we love everything about it. We had a wonderful time in Punta Uva in mid-October this year. Pura Vida! -- Nerdy Girl Gretchen
I'm thankful for today with my kids & my parents in Austin, TX.
"Hi" from Dallas, Liz! How wonderful to have a multi-generational gathering. They are so precious. -- Nerdy Girl Gretchen
Quarantining due to a potential COVID exposure, missing Thanksgiving dinner, so as not to pose even a remote risk to my mom who is in her 90's!

I came down for vacation in 2001.
That's the end of that story, and the beginning of a new one. :-)
