There are many peer reviewed articles that state glyphosates are not safe. It is not allowed and has never been in many developed countries due to its toxic and carcinogenic effects. Farmers have been dying of cancer since they have been handling it and the law suits are many for the cancer it has caused and the people have won. When Monsanto sold to Bayer, there is a reason Bayer is in Germany and it takes the litigations overseas. Glyphosates interrupt the shikamate pathway and this is crucial for bacteria, fungi and plants. Please see Rich Rolls interview with Dr Zach Bush. We are killing our microbiomes and glyphosates and GMOs are keeping MDs and the pharmaceutical industry in business. It’s dangerous. I grew up on a farm and my father spilled round up on our front yard by accident, it took 10-12 years for the grass to return. It kills all the beneficial organisms needed for life. Please look into this further. I have worked in research, I have a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Glyphosates are found in human and animal urine and pets and people share diseases for a reason. We need to BAN glyphosate use. The AAP should push for that and so should you. Look at the people who say it’s safe-these people are benefiting financially.

We acknowledge that this can be confusing to navigate because there are some studies showing negative effects (e.g., at high doses in animal models), but, as we discussed, the crux of the issue is whether or not the doses that we normally consume are safe, and for this issue (for regular consumers), there is no debate in the scientific community. I would also encourage you to read all of our references and I’ve highlighedt a few more in addition:

I understand but I respectfully disagree. Please read the conflict of interest statements here on the article you reference: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28393866/ which states they received unrestricted gifts from Bayer Crop Sciences and Monsanto.

There are several articles showing its use is not only toxic but detrimental to our environment. This article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35562999/ directly says, "The doses of glyphosate that produce these neurotoxic effects vary widely but are lower than the limits set by regulatory agencies. "

Also this one: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35074614/ says how it is killing frogs and plants which is critical in the ecosystem and nature itself.

There is also this article: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3945755/ which proposes that glyphosate is the most important causal factor in autoimmune issues such as thyroid, genetic issues such as celiac, and IBD and cancer.

I enjoy your articles but I feel strongly that glyphosate is killing people, pets, plants and the soil. I have been following glyphosate research for 21 years. As with any one thing, you cannot know it all but what I have read and consumed glyphosate is not healthy for us at any level.
