“Those Nerdy Girls” and our first project “Dear Pandemic” began as an emergency social media campaign to help answer pandemic questions for our family and friends.  As PhD scientists and clinicians, we saw a huge gap between the overwhelming amount of science information coming out and the needs of everyday people to interpret and put this information to use in their daily lives.

Our mission has now grown beyond COVID-19.  Through our writing, our aim is to educate and empower individuals to successfully navigate science and public health information relevant to their lives. We provide curated, credible and timely interpretation of science in an approachable style.

With backgrounds in medicine, epidemiology, demography, health policy, economics, mental health, nursing, behavioral science, immunology and more, we cover a lot of scientific ground and we can see the forest for the trees.  As big Nerds, we LOVE data and scientific inquiry and want to share this passion with others.

Thanks for making us one of your trusted sources of information. We do not take that trust lightly.
